Why Is Your Gmail Inbox Always Full?

Every online purchase, app and website adds you to another mailing list. Newsletters you never read, promotions, social notifications and old attachments pile up quietly, burying important email and eating into the free 15 GB of storage that Google shares between Gmail, Google Drive and Google Photos. Deleting them one by one takes hours, and they keep coming back. Clean Mail Hub fixes the cause as well as the clutter: it stops unwanted senders, clears what has already piled up, and keeps it from happening again.

Clutter that keeps returning

Everything You Need to Clean Up Gmail

Eight tools in one lightweight extension, built around one rule: you stay in control of your email.

One-click mass unsubscribe

Find every newsletter and mailing list from the last 12 months, see how many of their emails you actually open, and unsubscribe using each sender’s official unsubscribe link.

Auto-clean rules

Create rules such as “Promotions older than 30 days → Trash” or “Unread mail older than 90 days → Archive”. They run daily or weekly without you lifting a finger.

Bulk cleanup with preview

Filter by sender, domain, date range, age, category, unread status or attachment size. Preview the matching emails first, then clean them in one step.

Large email finder

List the emails using the most storage, from 2 MB to 20 MB and above, sorted by size, and free up space in seconds.

Inbox analysis

Real numbers from your mailbox: emails per category, unread rate, mail received in the last 30 days and your top senders with one-click actions.

Undo every cleanup

Nothing is permanently deleted. Cleaned emails go to Gmail Trash, and any cleanup can be restored from History with one click.

Protected senders

Add the people and domains that matter (your bank, your boss, your clients) and they will never be touched by rules or bulk cleanups.

Multiple Gmail accounts

Connect personal and work Gmail accounts and switch between them in one click. Each account keeps its own history and rules.

How to Clean Up Your Gmail Inbox in 4 Steps

From install to a clean inbox in a few minutes.

  1. 1

    Install the extension

Add Clean Mail Hub to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar.

  2. 2

    Connect your Gmail account

Click the icon, press Connect, and sign in with Google. Clean Mail Hub only asks for permission to manage email when you first clean something.

  3. 3

    Scan and review

Scan your subscriptions, analyse your inbox, or pick a bulk-cleanup filter and preview exactly which emails match.

  4. 4

    Clean up and automate

Unsubscribe, move clutter to Trash or archive it, and create auto-clean rules so your inbox stays clean on its own.

How to Mass Unsubscribe From Emails in Gmail

Unsubscribing is the only lasting fix for a cluttered inbox: deleting newsletters removes today's copies, but unsubscribing stops tomorrow's. Clean Mail Hub uses the official unsubscribe method that each sender includes in their emails (the List-Unsubscribe standard), so requests are handled the same way as Gmail's own unsubscribe link.

  1. Open Clean Mail Hub and select the Unsubscribe tab.
  2. Click Scan Subscriptions. Every mailing list from the last 12 months is listed with its email count and your read rate.
  3. Sort by Least read to find the senders you never open.
  4. Tick the senders you want to stop and click Unsubscribe.
  5. Keep Also move their emails to Trash ticked to clear their old emails at the same time.

How to Free Up Gmail Storage Space

A handful of emails with large attachments often use more storage than thousands of text-only emails. Clearing them first gives you the biggest storage win for the least effort.

  1. Open the Large tab and choose a size, such as larger than 10 MB, and optionally an age.
  2. Click Find. Emails are sorted from largest to smallest with their size.
  3. Select the ones you no longer need. The total space you will free is shown as you select.
  4. Click Move to Trash, then empty Gmail Trash to release the space immediately.

Tip: download important attachments to your computer or Google Drive before removing the emails.

Keep Gmail Clean Automatically With Auto-Clean Rules

Gmail filters only act on new messages as they arrive. Clean Mail Hub rules also clean up the mail that is already in your inbox, on a daily or weekly schedule. Starred and important emails are always skipped. Popular rules:
